Application au mésothéliome, le cancer de l'amiante

Abstract : Polymeric nanoparticle for treating cancers: application in mesothelioma, the asbestos-related cancerThis article presents the selective tumour delivery of histone deacetylases inhibitors using a polymeric nanoparticleplatform produced by ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of azido-polyethylene oxide-norbornenemacromonomers functionalized using click chemistry. In our models of mesothelioma, a highly selectiveaccumulation of the particles in the tumour was obtained. The release of the drugs involved a pH-responsivepolymer conjugate leading to 80% reduction of tumor weight for the best compound without toxicity. This workdemonstrates that the use of theranostic nanovectors leads to an optimized delivery of epigenetic inhibitorsin tumours and then, improving their anti-tumour properties in vivo.
