"Beetrack": a software for 2D open field locomotion analysis in honey bees.

Abstract : "Beetrack" is a complete software designed to analyze the 2D locomotor behavior of four simultaneous honey bees moving in petri dishes. Several dependent variables can be measured: traveled distance, number of jumps and % of immobility. A spatial analysis can also be performed to detect if the bees are using preferentially one part of the box. The software has been successfully tested with eight honey bees and promise to be an interesting tool in the pharmacology field.
